What's the car behind you? Mustang?
That’s just mean Terry! It’s obviously a ‘67 Cougar. And the OP’s name had nothing to do with my guess.

Ha! Oops! And I was thinking that it was a black '67 Mustang coupe, from what I saw of the picture. Obviously, the OP's name had nothing to do with my guess either! That’s just mean Terry! It’s obviously a ‘67 Cougar. And the OP’s name had nothing to do with my guess.
Thanks Terry. It’s a ‘67 Cougar.Nice Fed! What's the car behind you? Mustang?
From what I saw of it, it looks pretty sweet...and it ought to run pretty strong with a 390. I always liked that engine. Thanks Terry. It’s a ‘67 Cougar.

Thanks, Michael. This one came without a Carmen or a Karmen. You should be storing that one in a safe.
Nice. I had a Ghia once, Karmen Ghia.
Thanks Stefan.

I like the styling of that one, Max. Very cool.
Good that you didn't give up, Terry. Looks great.Wearing one that I almost threw away. I actually used this hat to experiment on over the past few years and I almost threw it out until I decided to mess around with it and make a clone of an Indy LC hat. The hat body is a Resistol Stagecoach, the sweatband was taken from an O'Farrell, the liner came from a different Stagecoach that I had laying around, and the ribbon and bow has been put on and taken off again from several different hats only to end up on this one. So this is my Stagecoach LC Frankenhat that was pieced together with materials from different hats. I'll have more later in the Conversion Corral. The brim shape on this was hard to nail down because it changed so much throughout the movie. I decided on a brim shape similar to this one...
The crown is tall and straight and somewhat rounded off at the top with a center dent and a high tight pinch.
The side dents are deeper and more elongated than I prefer but more correct for this hat.
The brim is dimensional cut at 2 5/8 front and back and 2 3/8 on the sides, (the LC was the shortest brim width of the Indy hats). In some of the LC scenes
the "cowboy curl" is slightly higher on the bow side. Although in one scene from the movie the curl
was noticeably way higher on the other side.
This is before the ribbon was sewn on

First pic I spotted right away that it was the Lee; I wonder why. Must be something that catches your eye at once, but I can't name what that would be exactly. Lovely hat, Joe.View attachment 250783
I am really enjoying the lines of this Lee Black Label “Commentator” and it has definitely gotten some head time the past few days. It shares a bit of block styling with my Lee Bronze label. The felt is a rich chocolate brown with a matching grosgrain mid ribbon. The brim is 2 1/2 underwelt edge with a neat stitching pattern. The generous 2 inch sweatband is nice and Soft.. the seam bow at the rear or the sweat has come unattached so I need to reattach that. The cool Lee liner is loose... though I may take it out and set it aside. Those little details aside the felt is in real nice shape and I really love the look and feel of this hat.
