Great shade of blue on that hat, Joe. There's a lot to like aside from the colour as well. Very nice.
Fine looking Knox, Joe.
Beautiful hat.. the blue jay Feather makes it pop.German week 4 day 3
Hückel Chamois
It came with the bluejay feather. I always take feathers out, but for this one I made an exception.

I was hoping you'd be better than I was doing at deciphering that oneStefan, Thank you! I can't make out the entire handwritten word.
Great looking Hückel Weilheim "Chamois"! I have a few Hückel "Chamois" with small feathers. I am thinking the hats came from the factory with the feathers.
I have a tan Chamois and it has a small feather but with brown and tan hues. I some others with the small blue jay feathers. I agree there are just too many to be coincidence.I was hoping you'd be better than I was doing at deciphering that one
I think you're right about the feather in the Hückel chamois hats. Can't be a coincidence.

Thanks again, @Rumad!
Keep the faith Eric! Another gem.Good morning. Foray into the unforeseen dangers of a neighborhood walk had me wearing a vtg. Stetson Sovereign Twenty. This green fedora has a dress weight felt that has a clay-like drape when you touch it to change the crease or dents. No coaxing needed as the felt just yields to your whims.
Be safe, be strong and see you on the street soon, Eric -
It is nice to see you doing your part Joe. Great back bow.1950s Knox Twenty while donating blood today. Free Covid antibody test along with it. Interesting.

This week I will feature Echter Borsalino Hats which were made for the German Market. The hats will be from the late 1920s up to the 1950s.
Echter Borsalino "Bismuto" (Bismuth) and "Sanboca", Point 6 1/2, date stamped 17.5.29 (May 17, 1929). The felt is very soft / light weight with a unique box bow design for this style hat and also has a looped wind cord. It has an fantastic over welt curled brim and the non-reed sweatband is very finely stitched to the hat. The Berlin store / hat company (Max Eckard) that sold it did not survive WWII.
Date Stamp 17. 5. 29.
The box is from a Berlin hat store (Philipp Neubauer Berlin)that survived WWII but not the locations listed (I have / had a few hats from this store).
That brim stitching is fantastic Stefan. I agree about feathers, sometimes they are just...right.German week 4 day 3
