Nice, Jim! I see what you nean about the colors.
I wonder what The Waverly refers to. Wasn't it a famous restaurant or hotel in New York, or some other landmark? I heard of it in the lyrics of "Frank Mills" a song I love in "Hair", and I've wondered what it is.
"I met a boy called Frank Mills, on September twelfth right here, in front of the Waverly"...

I'm not even certain it's the model, Max. However, it's on an affixed tag (looks like one of those old price tags, like Kresge used to use), so I've rolled with it. And I don't know what it might refer to, either.
I likely know as much or more about Daltons than anybody on the forum. That ain't bragging, because it's only a thimble full of info. Everything I do to try to date them is wild speculation; however, we learn a little more with each one that turns up. The OPA tag on yours means it's the only one we have we can give any kind of date range.
Then there's the "America's Finest" vs. World's Finest on the logo. When did it change? Which came first? Why did it change?
I resolve to find enough of them that I can figure this stuff out.
