Nice lines on that hat, Richard.
Beautiful homburg (is there any other kind?), Matt. Keep them coming.Julius Garfinkel & Co. homburg.
Happy (is there any other kind) Friday to all.
Mirtillo eh, so you're just picking blueberries: how can that be a sin?I do not want to be repetitive so let's say, quietly, that it is another temptation that has gone

The hat, like his brothers, is a product in which Borsalino's hand is evident. Certainly it was made by the Vanzina workers, both for the finishes and for the elements that recall the production of the subsidiary from Borsalino.

High class spaghetti western! This is a recent addition, a custom prototype collaboration between a good hat friend and Bob Jessee at Black Sheep Hat Works. I believe the Borsalino western style hat that was used is 1960s vintage, but the felt is pure white gold as from an earlier time. I love how it retains its western vibe even with the addition of a dressy city ribbon.
At least you didn't need a respirator, Brent. Alan is my size, so imagine how that must feel! Great colours on the hat by the way.Oh, great. I have to follow Allan and his show stopper.

If you pet them on a regular basis, they're soooo well behaved. Lovely felt, John.Hey all!
The full, glorious greenness of this 50's Lembert Velour is eluding my camere today. But it is there.
Have a great day!

Absolutely gorgeous, Doug. Love the way that ribbon makes the hat shine.I wasn't able to get up and about today until later this afternoon. Grabbed the tweed jacket from yesterday and a hat I haven't been wearing as much as it deserves. Stetson late 50's - early 60s Sovereign Twenty with the sweet Mode Edge and some really wonderful dark brown, velvety felt. I generally like a wider brim than this 2-1/4" lid affords, but it's nice enough that I just don't care.
The felt easily molds to whatever shape a fella wants, but to my eye the classic center dent works best with this one. I have the front pinch at about 4-1/4" and keep it level with no rake. A superb hat, really, it fits just a touch loose at size 7-1/2 but feels real comfortable on the noggin'. I wish my pics showed the felt off better. It goes really well with the old copper wide ribbon.
.
Nice one
Wouldn't want to run the risk of losing that hat, Reggie. Every bit the gentleman again.Friday Borsalino. Trying to sneak home before the noreaster hits.

Very nice, Steve. Is that the Borsalino in Sider colour?A day out in Copenhagen. Thought it deserved this Borsalino Lobbia bought from Daniele. Once more, Penumbra Hats have done a great job cleaning it and replacing the ribbon and trim on the curled brim. The colour represents that of the original. A big thanks to them and Daniele for their excellent choice.
Have a great weekend fellow Loungers.

As much as I like the other hats, the Borsalino comes out on top with ease. Great parade of hats, Jeff. The cats woke me up too early this morning, so here I am on the interwebs and I will share the week’s headwear.

I share the sentiments, Doug. Whatever the situation in the world it's here we come for some lighthearted banter about hats. It's good there's stil room for that.I am, at once, saddened, sickened and enraged at the ignorant, senseless brutality this morning at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. I don't think we step into the political realm by offering prayers and good thoughts for those suffering at the hands of evil.
I was out grocery shopping when the news came on the radio. Sad, sad day.
I feel petty and small for even posting a hat at this time. A Charles Knox 40 stingy brim beater from the 60's. Pics taken before I heard the news.

Thanks Brent!A wonderful dark green and the velour looks eminently pettable.
Thanks Stefan. It's a Lobbia Borsalino Sider in Daniele's words and he refered to the colour as "buio". The latter I understand as "dark", but I wouldn't call it a dark grey.Very nice, Steve. Is that the Borsalino in Sider colour?
Thanks Stefan!Ooooh, very nice, John.
Nice one, Brent. I'll add that to my searches. And thanks for the likes on the blue hats.
Catching up some. Two hat day yesterday.

But if you don't get them spayed, you might have a bunch of little stingies running around that you have to try to give away on Craigslist! If you pet them on a regular basis, they're soooo well behaved. Lovely felt, John.
