Borsalino "Castoro" for a bit of social isolation in the mountains...

Well that Playboy is just AMAZING!!!!
Cavanagh, too,also!
Thin ribbon Playboy...
Just, wow.
Man, I’m jealous of ole Tio.
wish I could live up there by you just so I could soirée around with a guy having such great lids!

Thanks for the compliments sir. With the unusual circumstances of me being home a lot I have been able to wear some of the lesser worn hats on the shelf. My hats definitely need more wearing.

Well thank goodness for social media where we all get to see your wonderful Cavanagh Eric.

Thanks. Interesting as your thoughts echo my social media reflections of late.

Not everything is special felt hats. I have been cleaning branches and blowing the detritus that is not still frozen to the ground around our fire pit. A Filson Mackinaw cap (with ear flaps that I was using early into my project) was worn. I would like to light a fire and sit outside tonight. We shall see.

That is a beautiful homburg, Eric...Wow...don't leave your back door unlocked :)

People should see that one!

Early morning I wore my favorite homburg. This early 50's Cavanaugh is an inky blue felt with maroon trimmings. Stunning in person. No person saw me wearing this hat live and in person. It was the perfect hat for a dog soiree. My dog, Tio (Horatio), to the best of my knowledge, did not have an opinion on the hat at all.

Back home, picking up fallen limbs and generally prepping for some chainsaw work this afternoon I was wearing an unlined Stetson Playboy. This 30-40's hat is unique in that instead of the "usual" Playboy ribbon it has a ribbon like a Royal DeLuxe Stratoliner.I have checked that the ribbon is original. The leather sweat is original. Just a unlined version that hybrids features.

Recently acquired Dobbs Dayton for some coffee and fresh air this morning. I hope everyone here is safe and well during these interesting times.

Cuz, really good to see you. I’ve thought about you a good bit as I figured you’d be on the “essential” list at your place of employment, which is also in Alabama’s hottest zone. I’ve been self quarantined for nine days with ‘something’. As always our state’s ahead of the curve when it comes to prevention and testing. Take care of yourself and I hope your mom and the kids are well.

I guess getting around on I59 isn’t much of a problem now.

Didn't realize you were suffering ill effects, Greg. Take care of yourself.

Thanks, Jim there hasn’t really been much to talk about. Many struggling and suffering far worse than I am. I seem to be on the downhill side of whatever it is. The struggle has been keeping the girls free and clear and me not going stir crazy sitting here in the cave. You take care of you and yours.

Be well, brother. My prayers are with you and yours.
Guess it’s been a good time to hit them strings. It’s what I’ve been doing.
I put my box on the giddar thread, btw.

Cuz, the last few days have been downright surreal. The hospital has postponed all but emergency surgeries and is clearing out in anticipation of what's coming. No visitors are allowed right now because of the cases already there. I feel like I've got front row seats to the twilight zone watching everything go down like it is.

I sure hope you get to feeling better real soon. The pine pollen is a quarter inch thick on everything around here and the wisteria is open for business. I'm sure it is up there, too. Fingers crossed that's all that's ailing you. Let me know if I need to head up that way with an emergency case of beer or two. Take care of yourself, man. We'll get through this, and definitely have a few cold ones when it's done.

Out for a walk checking out any signs of spring. I wore a VS fedora. This Stetson Stratoliner inspired fedora is sage green beaver with matching ribbon/binding treatment.

This not hat content, but what in the world is this unique feature. I took a sample of the ice from the ground and will thaw at home to see what is going on.
