The coloration of that hat Steve just does it for me. Hard to get that type of shade really. Look's like a brown across with burgundy red?
You're quite right and thanks Roadopen. Though the hat is chocolate brown indoors you can still sense the burgundy/auburn hues which open up in natural light. It's a keeper [emoji4]

Thanks Bob. The mojo works now and then, but not as often as it used to.

Thanks Perry. The shirt and tie were finds from yesterday, too. West Wool brand snap front shirt and handmade wool tie, both courtesy of half price day at my favorite thrift.

Thanks all,
Michael
Michael, I'm going to have to go shopping with you. Great finds again!

I tried to stay away from temptations, but the other day we were, Steve and I, in Merano by the current owners of the hats sold in the shop (now closed) "M. Hutter".

I did not bring enough money to buy hats, but then I suddenly became a sinner

Borsalino "Uranio" Qualità Extra Superiore. Size 6 1/2

The shapes and proportions are related to Italian hats made in the sixties

Felt is soft and very malleable. What I particularly like is the tone-on-tone ribbon that is, for me, the plus of this Borsalino

Happy Friday everyone
See you in the next days for the next sins
Your sins will always be forgiven, Daniele, especially when you have such a great flair for and knowledge of hats. Great find.

This is the Lobbia Borsalino Qualità Suprema that Daniele posted a couple of weeks ago. It arrived Monday and after 24 hours on the stretcher, it was ready to wear today. Brim 7cm (2.75 inches), Crown 11cm (4.3 inches), ribbon 4cm (1.5) I have 3 other Homburgs with an equally wide brim and around the same crown size. I beleive this one seems "larger" due to it's colour in light perspective, but also due to the way the brim seems elongated along the sides.
A big thank you to Daniele for knowing my tastes and giving me the opportunity to bring this Borsalino into my possession and onto my head.

The homburg is mine- it’s a Carlson of wonderful colors. It accompanied me into the only restaurant in a small rural town to which I had to travel for work today. An...unusual... combination of elements in cuisine, especially considering the daily special was fried catfish with French fries, which I struggle to categorize as either Mexican or Italian...

Bowen's comments yesterday about the Knox Vagabond had me thinking about lightweight hats this morning. As a consequence I selected a lightweight hat from my hat rack to head out on a dog walk.

The vtg. Stetson Bantam was my choice. The lightweight felt and leather sweat make this hat fit ever so lightly on the forehead. I love the feel and fit of these styled vintage hats. I know other forum members have similar vintage hats and always enjoy seeing those oldsters. Go Bantams!

Today...i thought i’d post a hat that Eric’s post yesterday made me think of. I got a good chuckle when i saw he beat me to it!!
Wish this one had holes in it the way his does. Plus i wanted a hat to match this jacket for Jonesy (and Brent) and show that other thread you damn well “can wear black and brown together”!! Rather well i say.
Bantam #2 of the day.
Be well. Bowen
Wonderful look, Bowen.
