O wow, Jim. Could be black, could be blue. Either way a great hat.

I'm pretty convinced it's blue.

Except when it looks black.

This is a Pecan Rabbit with Charcoal ribbon.......look what the sun can do to colors.....

I think I had pecan rabbit at a place in New Orleans once.

Super like!
The dark gray felt looks buttery smooth.
Also like the cushioned sweat. Nice one!
would like to figure out how to do the ends of the bow like that, because I’m fixing to have to put an Open Road ribbon on my nephews newish Stetson. Looks like they twist the ends in a triangled fold?
I’ll figure it out...maybe.

You have been pretty clean the past few posts! The black and white donegal is a favorite. Always enjoy seeing it. The Dobbs and the brown pinstripe are classic. It may be time for the cape soon? [emoji6]

Thanks Reggie. The cape has made a few outings this year. I watched The Maltese Falcon again today and it rekindled my need for a SB peak lapel chalk stripe suit. Ha ha.

Everything's come together perfectly under that wonderful Dobbs, Michael. Suit, tie, pocket square, shoes and all.
Thanks Stefan. Gotta love some 3 piece weather.

That a some fine heathered felt in that one.

Thanks,
Michael

I've had this 50s Whippet for just over a year. I think this is the first time I've actually worn it. It's labeled 7 1/4 but is stretched a bit bigger. I had to use two felt shims. I had planned to send this to Art Fawcett to get cleaned and blocked back to a 7 1/4 but never did. Probably because I picked up two more 50s Whippets. So this is probably the only time I will wear this hat. I think it is destined for someone else's head.

Good evening. Outside hijacks found me wearing a Lee Desert Tones. The rose hints in the felt show-up in pics in today's gray afternoon. The felt has a special hue.

The sewn down brim, ribbon detail and quality leather sweat are surprising given the "cheaper" retail price of this hat.

Thanks for allowing me to share the Lee Desert Tones. Best, Eric -
