Wow! If that's standard quality can you imagine high? Super Stetson, Alan. The colour, the combo, shape, lines, liner, and overall look. Love it.May Company Standard Quality... c.1940.
Webster dictionary comes up with "a person of diminutive stature and often combative disposition." Which may be just about right for the wearer.
I'm not a motorcycle person, but this one appears to be something really special, wow! I think a helmet ready vintage fedora would have to be a size 13! Hard to find.
I see I've fallen behind here. I'm afraid I can't take any credit for the double bow. Though I did study it closely while I had the ribbon free. For some reason, hat shrinkage for instance, the ribbon had a lot of slack in it I just took that up.Michael, your double bow looks fantastic!

I agree, it's a nice looking felt, Reggie. I just about put it on again today, but then I remembered I had another grey hat I wanted to wear. That Biltmore Elaganza was a fine line. Well made and one of my favorites. Looking forward to seeing it in the future.

Thank you, sir. I think you need to find a motorcycle helmet large enough to fit over the Dallas. Or at least over a stingy. Ha ha.Love that Wormser !
Nice overcoat and sweater too.
It can appear creamy at times. The sheen on the ribbon is what always gets to me when I open the box. I guess the weight loss does show something about silver linings and clouds, or something. I think this coat is an old one. It's made from a very coarse and heavy cloth that seems to be some sort of boucle. No labeling at all and quite a bit of handwork. That gray has a "creamy" tone to it on my monitor. Love the brim dimensions. I do lust after your double breasted overcoat though. I have lost over 50 pounds during my pain ordeal and lost a coat size or two. Maybe, just maybe I'll find one like this as my size requirements are not so enormous. Does my hear good to see this look.
I always enjoy seeing that Whippet, Red. It's a gem.I dug out my Stetson JP Whippet today for errands. I purchased this one from the Stetson Outlet in 2017. At this time they were still "prototypes" and had not gone into full production. It is a testament to Matt Deckard and his time at Stetson. I know there is a story behind this revival of the classic Whippet, maybe he will share. The JP Whippet has all the bells and whistles of a fine hat of the past.

Not to say a relaxing fall day in Texas, Randy. Super Stetson Strat Silverbelly. Please stop making me wanting one [emoji4]Two tone Sperry Top-Siders and the old standby, a 50s Stetson Stratoliner in Silverbelly, on a pleasantly warm fall day in Texas.

Great hat. Outside it looks more brown, inside more grey. The third of my trio of hats via Stefan. My favourite of the three, though I love them all. A Borsalino Qualità Speciale. Great shape, colour, feel of the felt, ribbon treatment, and overall look. Borsalino at its best imo.

Indeed, Marcel. More brown than grey in true light, but with tinges of both in artificial lighting.Great hat. Outside it looks more brown, inside more grey.
Thanks H. I'm thankful for my hats, coats, and Scandinavian scenery [emoji145]Man, that does look like a special Borsalino. Goes great with that Herringbone overcoat.
Great scenery as well !

A Borsalino you say, well just for safety's sake I had a quick check of my Stetson Sovereign, yep, it's still in it's hat box. Not that I'm not the trusting sort.
