A much delayed trip to our favorite Hatter in Eugene today... I have not been able to drive long trips due to my back surgery, so a beautiful Ecuadorian straw has been waiting to be picked up. Now it will have to wait until spring for it's debut. Wearing my early 1950s Borsalino Featherweight (Via @moontheloon) for some show and tell with Mike Miller. Looking forward to the trip.
Yesterday was both disappointing and a relief of stress. The pins in my hand need more time to knit the fracture. There was some shattering of the bone, so I guess that is the reason. So I'm all trussed up until the 30th. Since they were just going to yank them out, I was kind of dreading this appointment.

What a grand Borsalino! Can't wait to see the Panama, Mike.

Hopefully the 30th will bring better progress

Beautiful Borsalino, Mike. Hope the new straw helped take your mind off the hand and back for a bit.

Very good to see you, Mike and good news to hear that you're more mobile by now. I can understand your mixed feelings about your hand; would have been good to get it over with. They really should think of a better and less graphic medical term than "yanking them out";). The hat is splendid.

After all the lightweights yesterday, I'd thought I add to the mix with mine. A red/brown Dobbs Cross Country and my trusty travel companion, a taupe Mayser fedora.

A Stetson, Dobbs, and a Mayser. Randy, what a trio.
