Another wonderful snow day in my Adventurebilt. I have a feeling the weatherman has lied and it’s not going anywhere until April.

I have given up on denim for now and broke out my Wested.

Hey folks!
It's not my oldest Homburg, and not necessarily my finest (but I'd be hard pressed to pick which one is, most likely decide on a 12 way tie) but this old Collins and Fairbanks from Charlie's neck o' the woods is, I believe, my grandest.

Have a great day!

I love the wide brimmed homburgs. Hats like this are what keeps me looking.

Great new Stagecoach conversion arrived yesterday from a fellow lounger.....now I don't "rock" this near as well as he did, but I sure do like it! This will gets lots of outdoor time this fall. ;)

That looks great on you. The Stage Coach hats make some of the best conversions (don’t tell Joao).

Royal Stetson refurbed by Bob Jesse at BSHW. Love the velvety, mauve/taupe felt on this. Almost floppy it's so soft, but holds the crease with steam. Kind of a dark red-ish brown/burgundy ribbon and a champagne colored brim binding. This one came to me all wonky and super dirty. Bob did a great job cleaning this (twice! because it so dirty), blocking it and reattaching the sweat and ribbons.

My first Royal Stetson, and part of the inspiration for my Natural/Slate custom from Michael Gannon, I don't think I'll ever let it go.

Paired with a moss green fleece jacket, the mauve/taupe felt shows off it's compatibility with a wide range of colors. Pleasing to the eye where the silverbelly/old copper I picked out originally this morning just didn't work for me.

‘Afternoon!

New to me Knox Twenty. Very dirty overall and has a good sized, rather unsightly moth gouge on the right side up top mid-back (All the other uglies you see are light stains). Nice felt. Nice light gray. I’ll have it cleaned and blocked to make it look a little more purdy, but will be proudly wearing it as one of my beaters with no misgivings.

Black sweat? 1960s? Must not have made too many wide brimmed cav-edged hats in the ‘60s...???

Enjoy!

-Mike

Beautiful hat, regardless of the nibble and spots.
My 1928 Dobbs Homburg has an original black sweatband, so maybe they were put in Knox hats earlier than the 60's.

Multi cap and hat day here today. Went for a ride with a Donegal tweed cap, then had to try on a new coat with the Knox Grafton.

And then I got bored, and that usually means something 70s. Cap I made myself sometime back.

I think all that fun wore me out.

Have a good evening,

OK, the hat and cap are nice, but man, that coat! Awesome! :)
