Today's hat - the silverbelly Campdraft. It was cloudy and kind of cold today. Thought that would be a good choice in case of rain.

Looks great on you! Is this the one that you had bashed by the store before being sent to you? The crown has a nice, straight-sided look.

I went to the doctor, and was diagnosed mild symptoms of a rare malady known as "Rusty's illness". It manifests itself with a tendency to wear thin ribbon hats. :D

So, today, it was an Open Road Stetson, in the classic silverbelly colour.

(very much on BobC's wake, BTW...;) )

With my daughter, Laura:

Thanks for the kind comments, gentlemen.

KY Gent, you are going to love your Campdraft. I like mine so much I ordered another one.

Gene, you, sir, wear every hat as well as anyone.

JO, I did ask Ron at Hatsdirect to bash this hat for me. I can do a halfway decent diamond, but I wanted a teardrop in this hat, and my attempts at teardrops have looked like the tear splattered into the crying towel. Normally, hatsdirect doesn't bash mail order hats, but Ron agreed to do this one because I had bought from them before and it was a pretty safe bet, I suppose, that I wasn't going to want to return it.

Torpedo, another fine looking OR. Didn't I just see you in a gray one a few days ago? Both are super hats. And your daughter next to you there enhances the entire look.

Rusty, you're affecting everyone on the board. I'm seeing a lot more thin ribbons lately. Maybe you should've run for President on the Thin Ribbon Party ticket. :D How many Buckaroo hats do you have by the way? That burgundy ribbon on that gray harvester really makes that one snap.

Flat tweed

From Bates, London. Moss green with windowpane rust check. Wider cut. Perfect for fall day. (I like a wider cap, but I'm not nuts about the "newsboy" look). Bates, and Herbert Norman, of Indy fedora fame, both make superb tweed flat caps, and ship internationally.

Hi Bob,

I agree Laura enhances any photograph :)

That hat you mention was a Stratoliner in blue-grey. Yes, fine hats indeed!

BTW, do not tell Rusty ;) , but I these are not the last thin ribbons you are going to see on me.

And now that I name him, I would say Rusty has made notable enough efforts, for him to have rightfully earned that Thin Ribbon Party candidature... :eusa_clap

Regards!

It's a grand day for a hat!

Bob and Torpedo, You gents are doing a great job of support for the Thin Ribbon ticket! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Rusty, As the front runner and titular Party Head, I only hope that your choice of running mate isn't palin' by comparison. Any idea what they can see from their front porch? Since you're gonna force me to call the Major, have you considered him for a cabinet post! Headband Security?

IC, The B!Wear cap is a medium grey. Looks like grey flannel.
