This is the hat I wear virtually every day. My work hat. Sun or rain. Winter, spring, summer, and fall. The Akubra Squatter. Shows absolutely no sign of shrinkage so far. Oh, it's lost some of it's cool reverse taper/bulb shape that it had when I first got it, but it's not from shrinkage, it's from the center crease sinking down, sucking the sides of the crown in with it. This is VERY hard to push back out and get it to stay. It's still pretty good and untapered, though.

Douglas, Very nice Royal Stetson!!! (Nice size, too. Are all your hats 7 1/8?)

Carter, That coast to Coast is super sharp. It's what I'm trying to get my oldest Borsalino to look like. Not quite there, yet.

My Art Fawcett Jazzman. It is my favourite fedora followed by my vintage Borsalino stingy brim in a fuzzy rich medium brown.

I saw a similar Borsalino in blue listed recently for auction but it's a bit too large so I could not justify paying the amount the seller wanted. Besides, I'm supposed to be selling hats and cleaning old suits, etc. out of the closet to make room before Sarah's contract is up and she moves back to the States.

Fatdutchman, That's a great looking hat. I can see why you wear it so much. For what it's worth, I like the way the crown looks. (It took me a while to get used to reverse taper. I'd say say your squatter is just about right.)

I really like the looks of that one Dutchman, dont know why I was thinking the Squatter did not have a fedora look to it.
How long have you had this one?

Since about May or June. It's the hat that's in the David Morgan advertisement at the top of the screen (well, it's not the SAME hat...). I think this hat has serious "Indy" possibilities. Cut down the brim to size and replace the ribbon and you'd have it.

This particular hat came with a really cool bulbous reverse taper shape, which I LOVE. Like I said, I have lost some of that due to the center crease dropping down, pulling the sides in with it. I know it is deeper than it was when I first did it. It won't go no further though, it's touching my head! When I pop out the crease and pinch, she's just as bulbous as when I got 'er.

When new:

The color (tawny fawn or deep fawn, or whatever they call it) is a much deeper brown than the above two photos show.

Wait! Wait! Indy, what happened to the AB? I missed something...:(
I emailed Steve and he said it does not take to terribly long to do a reblock, and that I would have it back before Disney vacation in mid January so I shipped it off yesterday. I miss it pretty bad now.:( It will spend Thanksgiving sealed in a box on the back of some cold dark UPS truck! :eusa_booh . I feel like I left a comrade behind! :eusa_doh:
