1960’s Borsalino. First time I have worn a felt out in months so seemed appropriate to wear a European brand in London.

Very nice! We have clouds and rain here in London :(, but occasion to dust off the felts :)
Thanks, Christophe! That's an American market Borsalino you're wearing, right? Yesterday was the first time in two months we've had some rain and this is Holland we're talking about!

Today i’d like to present a hat created by our own CaneRodMaker, Tim of Alley Kat Hat Co. Tim is a humble artisan and craftsman who’s skill belies pictures and must be beheld to truly appreciate. Other’s here have benefited his artwork and i have this example alone to enjoy. All hand stitched (amazing) all hand created.
This example is from work in 2013. I can only imagine the strides achieved in the last 5 years. A man who can craft a split cane flyrod has certainly brought that gift to custom hats. Thanks Tim!!
Be well. Bowen
Fan dang tastic hat Bowen.

Thanks Bowen. You mean that's not the style anymore?

First Steve and now you too, Michael. I'm getting right in the mood for my own homburgs!
Thanks Stefan. Been awhile since we've seen you in a 'burg.

Wonderful hat, Michael. Very smooth looking felt.
Thanks Stefan. It is a nicely felted hat.

Yesterday the Borsalino Dattero (jay, felt weather!)

Love that Dattero. Great brim stitching.

Temperatures are down so it's felt time. The Borsalino I traded with Moehawk some time ago (bless him). No colour or name, so I call it Rogers Peet (the shop it came from).

Another great looking Borsa today. Felt two days in a row, is summer over?

Thanks all,
Michael

This one is French market, Gerard Sools, with « **** » at the front of the sweatband. I say 60’s (according to seller) but I guess it could be 70’s?

Yes, 2 months no rain in Holland or U.K. is unbelievable!

Can't go wrong with those lines RW. Looks like a grab and go favorite.

Super VS, love that brim curl you always sport.

Thanks man. The curl has everything to do with my head shape. I have a egg shaped long oval that is slightly off center. So all my hats develop a distinct curl and the brim goes a little lop sided. Like the Indiana Jones turn without having to turn the hat. it used to drive me crazy but now I just embrace it.

Thanks, Michael. Temperature has come down about 10 degrees C. Still summer, but not a furnace anymore. The homburgs will have to wait a little while longer.

Did not expect that: the straight and tall crown and wider brim are more common in the American market Borsalinos. Great hat.

It is a nice color, very versatile. Here's hoping for a few days of felt for us all!

Being out west in the USA must have put a little cowboy into you! Nice beard Christophe. Beautiful lines on that Borsalino.

Nice color on that one. And that reminds me, I need to check in on John.

Hat City Hat Co. from the mid 1950s today. This is my gray "beater" work hat. Doing some yard stuff while it is cool. Felts for the next few days here in Oregon!! Also a shot of the completed fence in the back yard. We left for Seattle on Friday and came home to a beautiful fence. Extra tall too, they added a "grass board" at the bottom, which makes it 7' instead of 6'.
