A beautiful weave on this one Alan. The combination of colors in the ribbon is interesting too.

What to wear? Getting organized for our upcoming cruise along the New England / Canada coast at the end of this month. I'm not as brave, nor packing as heavy as Redfokker did for his cruise, so I think only two will make the cut this time around. One straw and one felt (the VS Pecan). :)
I ended up taking 4 hats on our Alaskan cruise. I found a plastic hat box on Ebay for a few bucks, but I ended up carrying it because I didn't trust it as checked luggage. That was a pain. I ended up only wearing a couple on a regular basis. I brought a fancy Homburg for the formal dinners, but didn't wear it other times. I would say you are wiser with only two.

Yes, the Cunard ship. Ha ha. It was a Resistol model with a full crown, wide ribbon, 2" underwelt brim and a back bow. Made in 1958-59 area of time. It was named for the Cunard ship. Here is mine.

Yours seems similar.

Michael

Indeed it does, but mine doesn't have any sort of designated name. They do look similar. 2 1/2" overwelt brim?

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

Or you could do as Peter Warren did when he traveled up the east coast with Ellie Andrews with just one hat and the clothes on his back. ;)

This IS A HAT!!
That crown and dents are “legend”!!
Would totally love more pics of this one!

Michael really did a great job on this hat. It’s a fixed crown so the dents are from the master himself. Here’s some past posts where it’s been seen before.

The last of the cool, by summer standards, days here today. Mallory The Dallas finds some time on the head.

Now that I'm done trying to count all of the striped yard rats for another morning.
