Thanks folks for the likes on my most recent posts. I appreciate the internet "thumbs up."

Perry; The suede is not so hard to keep clean. Treat the suede with nano coating before wearing them out of the house and almost all marks brush off. Marks can be cleaned with a Saphire product and then stiff brushed out. The shoes in the pic are Aldens. I do have a pair of chormexcel white Trickers that I wear when the warm weather is challenging.

That old Champ looks great, lots of character.

30's / 40's era Monticristi weave straw. Just back from VS refurb, clean, block, new sweat and new ribbon. Thanks Art! Sorry, light filter off a bit today.

Love your Aldens as well as the socks. I like to tell my sweety, as well as others, "one cannot be afraid of color" :D

Rainy day in Funkytown. The cooler weather allows me to take out some pieces I thought would be stored for a bit longer. I scored this back in the spring,, but have only gotten a few wears out of it so far. Fantastic Mallory Fifteen; great big boxy crown, well-proportioned brim with a Duplex (Cavanagh) edge. Fifteen samoleans bought you a decent hat back in the day.

Both great hats, Stefan. Hard to beat a featherweight felt.

Thanks Red. It was a pretty lazy day here. Short bike ride, rummage in the ramp for a bit and make a nice chicken curry.

Thank you Daniele. Love the Mirtillo Borsalino. It will be cool enough to wear it someday. Maybe.

Great looks by you and your lovely wife, D. The Optimo is too cool.

Thanks, D. I tried that hat in the vintage store maybe 10 times and it was always too small. Then one day it fit. More hair must have fallen out. Ha ha. I've been trying the same thing with a vintage boater, but it refuses to grow. Or my head refuses to shrink any more.

Yes, a 7 day ride across the state by a different route every year. It's been going on since 1973. it was quite the party when they were here Friday night. They basically enclosed the core of downtown in a fence and turned it into a beer garden.

Spending a little time this evening under the Resistol Caronia, and wearing one of my new rummage sale shirts.

Thanks, Michael. Nice one for you again today. I'm kind of partial to the wide ribboned hats.
