I haven’t had time in the last few months for much internet at all. The old Stetson and I have been trucking around the country.

Good to see you Nathanial! Are you getting any comments on your hat(s) from other truckers?

An early GB Borsalino today.

That's a beauty Tonio! Is that your back yard? Looks like a nice place to be...

A minor miracle! I overheard my wife telling my daughter not to rearrange my hats by colors, because they look beautiful the way they are.
And afterwards she asked me in a conversational way if I wanted to buy more hats. I said I wanted to buy about six European hats, and she smiled and said I would really get hooked on those, because they are really beautiful, and we could have a horizontal closet built on top of the other ones, where the black Optimo hat boxes are.
I should buy a lottery ticket today.

I am wearing my first Homburg. It feels kinda weird not to be able to snap my brim down. I will get used to it, wont I, Red?

My friend, I love that homburg! It takes some time to get used to them over fedoras. Unlike some, I don’t wear them with casual clothing, but that’s just me. Give it some time. A simple Center dent without pinches is more formal and dressy. Add the pinches and it becomes a bit more casual. Great find, Max!

Tonak Iron is very dark, much darker than Winchester Steel. In all but the brightest light it appears black and it’s the one color that I regret buying...just too dark for my tastes.
Maybe with a wide silver ribbon and a different bow it will take more elegance. That color was and is widely used in EU by most of the hatters. French producers of felts were specializing in those shades of deep grey

Thank you Daniele.
Any chance you have a photo of such a hat you could share? I don’t seem to have anything like that in my photo library. Thanks,
Brent
