Great Borso, I've been lusting after a Luxe 5X for a while but never find one that fits me.View attachment 126166 View attachment 126169 View attachment 126171 View attachment 126173 View attachment 126179 Greetings All:
In keeping with the Borsalino binge.
Today it’s a not brown Marque Grande Luxe 5x somewhat velourish Ecosti? in Paliadie? I believe. Hard time reading the tag. I love the feel of this felt. It reminds me of a Playboy in form.
Be well. Bowen
Nice one Greg, I was needing a really fine cattleman fix.
I remember finding a few ads for them and a couple of stories in the Hatter's magazines on Google books. Don't remember much about the details though.I seem to remember seeing an advert for Gordon Hats in the cyberspace, maybe the Hatter Magazines that are digitized in Amazon(?)
Thanks Red. It's a good hat for a sunny day with the big flat brim.Super cool straw Michael. I've never considered that type of brim, but it works for me. New search...
Thanks Max. I like colors. And hats.Nice color combo, Michael. I like this one.

Haven't seen the Bone Lord in awhile. Is that ribbon teal?Felt like felt today. The Bone Lord's Hat gets some head time. Tossed a straw in the backseat for later.

It works well on the bike. I've made similarly shaped hats, but from fabric rather than felt. This is the first one I've seen that is feltCool looking little hat, Michael. Very comfy I'm sure.
Thanks Stefan.Nice shape on that hat, Michael.
A nice pair of hats. I think the color combo on the Konsul is about my favorite, rich brown and old gold.
Again, two great hats Stefan. I am interested in the brim edge on that Palladio. Is it a fine whipstich?
Two wonderful hats. I like the color of both, but Simone's is really special. Cool crease/shape too.New hats, hurray!!
Simone in a panama. The color is called Murano. Beautiful name for a beautiful color.
And a parasisal in anthracite for me.

Both hats by @EstherWeis.
The ribbon on the Bone Lord's is a darker navy blue with a box car ribbon.I remember finding a few ads for them and a couple of stories in the Hatter's magazines on Google books. Don't remember much about the details though.

I see I need to deal with a salt deposit on the ribbon.

Not quite as hot this afternoon as yesterday, but hot. Will probably be in shorts for my bike ride.

Thank you, Michael. The Konsul is a bit out of season, but works surprisingly well in this weather.I remember finding a few ads for them and a couple of stories in the Hatter's magazines on Google books. Don't remember much about the details though.
