Marque Grand Luxe!! I was looking for one of those every day for a week before my PayPal fight. I read on the net that the felt is incredible.
What does the feel of the felt remind you of, Bowen?

A highly recommended search. They made a 6x which is posted in the Borsalino Brotherhood thread in the last 2-3 months with discussion. Good luck...keep lookin.

Running late, as usual, and a two second decision led to the Charles Royce. A sure sign that the hat is a favorite.

You look great in that OR shaped Shantung Roger.

I always have to think twice when we talk about the "turn of the last century". My mind always goes to 1900, not 2000. Antique, vintage for sure Bob. Of course, I'm antique and vintage myself.

Wow, looks like you are enjoying yourself. And well-hatted while in the process. Your dad looks great in a fine Milan.

A definite improvement. Nice straw!
Thanks!

In keeping with the Borsalino binge.
Today it’s a not brown Marque Grande Luxe 5x somewhat velourish Ecosti? in Paliadie? I believe. Hard time reading the tag. I love the feel of this felt. It reminds me of a Playboy in form.
Be well. Bowen
Very cool crease Bowen. Impressive Borsalino.

Smooth Greg, smooth.

That felt looks dreamy Brent. Is Royce a store brand or a hatter? Interesting.

Ooohhhhh. Gotta have it.
Wonderful description! It reminded me of Julie Andrews singing "My Favorite Things" from "The Sound of Music."

Thanks, Micheal. Your sharp eyes never miss a trick. I will post the suit on the appropriate thread. It has some details I am sure you will find interesting.

I will look forward to seeing and hearing more about it.

Great lines on the Gordon. Do I remember this one having some age? Older than the 50s. Nice.
Yes, I like the lines of this one. I have no real idea of the age, but the lines and dimensions suggest something more like the 30s than the 50s. I don't know when Gordon and Ferguson quit making hats, but I believe they started shortly after the turn of the 20th century.

Thanks,
Michael

Very nice, Michael. Looks like some excellent finishing on that hat.
It seems to be a well made hat. It's another one of those that is in such a nice interior condition that I'm sort of afraid to wear it.

I picked up this felt cap number the other day. It's what I always call, to myself at least, a bicycling beanie. Made by Gap in China of 100% wool felt.

Shaped on a block and stiffened via the 4 external darts.

They call it Navy, but it appears as black to my eyes.

It's been my bicycle companion for the last couple of days, and I think will be for many more in the future.

Ana in her Optimo Milan. The last is a sea water pool in La Concha, a private club in Las Brisas, Acapulco. The sea comes into the pool through a narrow opening. You gotta watch out for nibbling fish and there is a warning not to step on the sea urchins.

I seem to remember seeing an advert for Gordon Hats in the cyberspace, maybe the Hatter Magazines that are digitized in Amazon(?)

Bentley Quality Hats boater. Interesting how the crown differs from the brim.

Very interesting, the difference in the weaves really draws the eye. Great boater.
