I guess I'm behind the times. Thanks Richard. You've been pulling out some nice straws lately as well.

I like the contrasting binding and weave on that poly. It is just one cool looking hat. Stay cool under it.

Yes, the binding is kind of cool. And it proved to be a stable biking hat. Not as cool on the head as the Sun Fari. That one has hands down the best air circulation.

Driving six hours north into Washington state for a family wedding. An outdoor garden wedding, so a fine straw is in order. My selection of hats for this trip are all NW Hats customs. I'm taking a couple of straws (Lt. Blue Duplex and Cuenca Straw) and the Slats Gill Playboy clone for evening dinners. The trip should be sunny and nice so I'll wear the Mike Miller straw with an OSU orange pug. I'll be venturing into WSU Cougar country, have to represent.

It’s blazing hot, but I’ve been reworking this Resistol 4X. Sort of a test mule for another attempt at a kettle curl and reshaped from a cattleman to a mild Gus. Once I get the shape down I’ll work on replacing the ribbon.

It was spotless when I left the house but in 30 minutes it somehow picked up some dust as seen. The joys of a black hat.

I'm looking to buy a couple felt bodies to see what I can do about building my own hats. I didn't have any luck with Winchester. They won't sell to individuals.
