Classic Borsalino from the sixties sold in the centre of Milan

Qualità Extra Extra Superiore. Color is "Rutenio" and the ribbon "Asfalto"

It could be one of the last felt of the season, but who knows?

A stingy day today. Mayser Milz with an interesting bow treatment. Wore my new Annie show T-shirt to advertise. Hardly needed to though, the performances are almost all SOLD OUT. These musicals are where our community theater makes it's major funding. It allows for funding some of the more less known shows in the season that may not be well attended.

Today i’m trying to get a couple more days out of the Churchill Beaver 50 without getting all summer sweaty. Dark colored felts not so much a concern but these light colored ones can get stained fast.

Thanks Red. It was colder than I expected outside for coffee this morning. I had on a light windbreaker and had to change over to the deerskin.

Thanks Johnny. The jacket was made by a company where you sent them your salted deerhides and they tanned them and sewed them into whatever item of clothing you chose from their catalog of patterns. Pretty cool.

The stingy is looking good. Great that your show is doing well too.

It heated up this afternoon and I'm lounging in the yard under the shade of an American Hat Para Panama.

The erstwhile postal employee delivered this extraordinary Tardan handwoven Panama to my house last evening. I believe that it is a late 50s or 60s hat based upon my research of the company and my consideration of the hat's construction.

Founded by a French immigrant, Tardan was one of the (if not the) premier hat companies in Mexico. It is still family owned and continues operations. I'm just delving into its very interesting history.

I also attach a story about a very bad day at the Tardan hat shop from about 100 years ago.
