Happy Easter to all my Lounge friends! Happy Easter is actually an old Moldavian greeting, deriving from the word origin for "Hoppy," which was a Moldavian term for "to put down," and "Keister." The K is silent, so Happy Easter is Moldavian for "Put down your keister," or "have a seat." (Hat tip to Ronnie Graham for that one).

Today I hoppied my keister at Easter vigil under a generous gift from fellow FLer @Michael R., a Dalton Homburg that is as clean as a whistle and soft as a baby's keister.

As much as I like the explanation of the term, I favor the other one where the expression refers to the godess Eostra, Eostre or Ostara whose name means something like spirit of light, which would be more in keeping with the coming of spring. Whatever it is; there's no better way to celebrate it than under a nice homburg. Good choice Jim.

Happy Easter to all. Today's Easter Bonnet is the Bone Lord's Hat for it's first church lady approval run (a big hit!). I thought I would try this color with a navy jacket to match the boxcar ribbon treatment. I think the cream tones of Bone go well with the blue. Probably not so much with a grey suit. This hat is a joy to wear, crisp and firm feeling, soft as a bunny's behind.

Happy Easter, Mike. I was a bit worried there that the church ladies might tear you to shreds.

Looks good, John. Not many here on the lounge can say they share the experiece of a TirardBowlerthatwasreallyahomburg, but I can! Fruno did not make me buy mine though...
Thanks Stefan!
They are some nice pieces of felt regardless of what they are called or circumstances of purchase!
I wouldn't mind finding another two or five of them... :)

Great combo Red. It looks fantastic with the navy jacket.

That hat is no joke. Just super, Michael.
Thanks Stefan. I wish the weather was a joke. I saw people walking around today in their puffy stadium coats. Shouldn't be that way in April.

Unsure about today, but yesterday I was wearing my first borsalino ever. I paid full retail for it then, which I never again did after that. I'm trying to figure out if I will sell it, because it's not a style I would buy today, or hold on to it for sentimental reasons. It never gets worn these days.

Happy Easter everybody.

Legacy hat, you always remember your first love. Of course, my first hat was a Bailey woolie, kind of a love I want to forget.

Always good to see the 54 Whippet.

Happy Easter, Mike. I was a bit worried there that the church ladies might tear you to shreds.
I survived. Did get some random comments from friends though.
