Greetings:
Superb Hat!
Someone stole your beard...or did someone steal your hat? Idk
Be well. Bowen
Neither.

I stole my own dignity in tragic trimming accident.

I'm so grateful that I bought insurance...

Kind words Perry, thank you. I've been on a hat diet for some time now - glad these old purchases still have some shine left for a FL veteran!

Diet or not, with a reserve like yours, you can "live off the fat of the land."

I love the color, especially, of your selection today; however, the whole package tickles all my fancies!

Had the Fed IV out today. Have been trying different bashes to loosen it up, went from a shallow center dent and tight pinch, to a slight diamond and loose dents, to a deep center. Still feels like it could stop a bullet.

Excellent eyes! The jacket is 100% goatskin - an Italian made Armani jacket that I've had for many years and don't remember to wear often enough.
Hey Alan:
Thanks...i knew that was a jewel..i was just trying not to drool. The grain is amazing. You should post it in the jacket threads. They are nice people too. I try to show them some hats. Ha B

Wow, nine hours of darkness in the WHAYWT thread! That must be a record. I guess everybody is trying to reconcile their busted brackets?

Anyway, top o' the Monday morning to all. Getting my week under way wearing the FrunoBerger (of Hollywood). @Redfokker, I still need to read up on the Berger material you sent me (TYVM). Just haven't had the time to sit down and go over it.

Frunoberger rules, great ribbon color with that natural felt Jim

Monday... it seems like this happens every seven days. This week, I'm softening the disillusionment of the experience with a Resistol.

I hope that each of you has a great start to the work week.

Great Resistol but who is this upstanding looking citizen? That hat belongs to a tie-dye Deadhead.

Another grey and windy day. Cold is coming back

Borsalino Qualità Speciale
10gxk5j.jpg

Color is "Rodio" and the ribbon "Asfalto" Felt has very short hair finish
i3tncl.jpg

It was flooded in some way and never worn. It was restored in Milan - Cappelleria Melegari
103vf2x.jpg

The sweatband is stamped with a north Europe hats shop. The wind cord is the "different" element for Borsalino sold outside Italy

Classic proportions for a late seventies hat made in the historical factory in Alessandria

For Richard Morgan: I wear this Borsalino to show you the interpretation of the same theme by Barbisio e Borsalino
Have a a nice Mnday!
Thank you Daniele. If I stick around long enough you will educate me on the full wonderfulness of Italian hats.

Great looking O'Farrell, I really enjoy this one Bob.

Haven Heaven Perry. Another unusual brand to learn about.

Very nice! Love the sweat and that brim binding. Cool hat Richard.

Wonderful.

That certainly commands attention. Beautiful hat, Richard.

That's a super nice lid.

That's a statement hat, Richard. Love the color and the lines.

Beautiful Richard!!

What a commanding presence! (Lame, I know. The hat is really nice, though)

Greetings All:
I’ve been wanting to post this hat for awhile because it’s a bit different. Kinda cool.
Today it’s a Stetson Open Trail Last Drop. The backside of the liner is kinda pretty too. The only lounge references i’ve found have been an old catalogue pic. Odd fellow to be sure.
As always, thanks for the kind words.
Be well. Bowen
Very cool Bowen, first I've heard of an Open Trail
