Outside chores this morning in a Stetson Playboy.

This is the unlined Playboy labeled sweat, plain brim edge with the thin ribbon. While questions exist about the hat there is no doubt this is an enjoyable light weight brown hat.

You have some of the nicest western hats that I have seen, this is another exceptional example. Do you collect a certain vintage?

Thanks! I have quite a few westerns over a range of years. I try to limit my buying to hats in my size that are in very fine condition, but occasionally make exceptions when something very interesting comes along.

More rain, but the Playboy takes it in stride.
Sent directly from my mind to yours.
That Playboy is a corker Jim. It looks good speckled with little raindrops.

O'Farrell this snowy morning.
Love that band Bob.

Trying to ward off the unnatural and disgustingly warm weather with the Adam THE POLAR.
Of course... I can't complain too much for there is a nice silver lining: great top down weather.
Have a thrilling Thursdee!
As Fozzie Bear sez..."Life with the top down!" At least the Polar will keep the burning sun off your nose.

Bradford on a rainy Thursday
Have a splendid Day

Very cool Richard. The liner resemblance to a Resistol really tells a story of this maker.

Wearing the Trimble today. Recently made a new ribbon, a little closer to the original color.

Now this is a "western" that I could be coaxed into wearing. Love the new ribbon.

Nasty bite in the wind today. Stetson Gun Club 3X Beaver for the morning shopping

Back from the grocery trip now and going out on a bus/walk soon. I think a cap with earflaps and long coat will be in order.
Have a fine Thursday,
Michael
Nice Gun Club Michael. Love the showy hat band.

'50's Stetson 3X OR conversion:
Looking good Justin. Another fine wider ribbon.

That is truly an exquisite hat, more envious each time I see it.
Thanks Bob. It certainly is among my favorites. If I can't figure out what hat I'd like to wear, it's the standard go-to.
Way to wear that Playboy, playboy!

Matt that Polar is so freakin' cool - maybe that will cool things down for you!

Spectacular Bradford Richard!

I have a Bradford OR clone from that same era - I think they were already being produced by Resistol at that point. But I could very well be mistaken. Would need to see the inside reorder tag to know for sure.

Great hat and I too like the jacket! A-2, correct?
Thanks Rick.
Nice to be missed. Thanks, Trench! Still here. Still wearing hats, but haven't acquired much new lately. I worried people were getting tired of seeing the same old stuff on my head. Yesterday morning in a Stetsonian:

Thanks Mike.

Scary thing is that it's pretty windy here today. Should have worn a derby. If THE POLAR were destroyed after leaving my head, I'd have to be placed on suicide watch. So it's been riding shotgun.

Enjoy.

That's another fine looking curled brim! You have been sporting some fine and unique westerns!

Thanks D-dog. I have a few okay westerns. Nothing like your collection of course.

Very nice Michael.
Thanks Cornhusker. This hat will see a lot more wear come spring as it's one that I wear quite frequently while hunting mushrooms.

A slight skiff of snow this morning in Oregon. Off for supplies in the 1950s British Battersby homburg. Nice crisp lines and brim curl on this one, very dark gray in color. Great felt too.

Great looking Battersby Red. Did steur locate the motherlode of that brand?

Nice Gun Club Michael. Love the showy hat band.
Thanks Red. I'm guessing that band was new in the late 70s or so.

Thanks all,
Michael
