Yes, the trench is an Army issue from the mid 50's. Great fit and still has the button-in wool liner. A thrift store score.

Everyone's looking great in their best Sunday lids. I'm wearing my silverbelly Stagecoach conversion. Getting a little bored with this color, though. I tweaked up the pinch on this one and made it tighter in addition to reworking the dents a little bit. It made the crease look a bit more crisp than before with a slightly looser pinch. Tall straight crown with a deep teardrop crease and a 2 3/4 wide snap brim...

Thanks Red. I tried on my Ike jacket today too, but Ike says I need to lose another 5 lbs and a couple of sweaters. Ha ha.

Today it’s the Wonky Disney Camel Hair. Interestingly, it has a corded reed that begins with the sweatbow, extends up the sweat stitching then around the sweat. An unusual design. The crease is an inherent iteration of how it came. Ha

Thank you, buddy. Yeah, that was a great movie. I even remember watching it at a Drive In theatre when I was a teen. You couldn't get a better cast than that and the Hank Williams sound track was perfect for that setting. I'm going to DVR that movie the next time it comes on TCM.

that is one brand that I do not own currently ... I've owned a few in the past ... all amazing hats ... most of them too small and were sold ...
but I kept a Disney box knowing I would own one again one day

Thanks Michael!
The finish is pretty awesome. Wonderfully soft and luxurious. I believe its a couple decades past when the use of mercury was abandoned for carroting the fur.
