Dunlap derby from the early 20th c. for a visit to my folks' house in Richmond.

I drove up with the top down. It was pretty funny... on the interstate, three people waved for my attention so that they could roll down their windows and shout to me about how much they dug the hat. I've never seen such enthusiasm for one of my hats from the general public before.

Dad is wearing a Chinese Dockers branded straw that he brings out when he throws tennis balls for their airdale, Karma.

Great hat again, Matt. I don't see enough of those vented hats (I only have two myself).

I do wonder if they really help cool your head or if it's just a marketing gimmick, though. I have a difficult time believing that such tiny vents could have an appreciable effect and I've tried but have never been able to detect a comfort difference between vented and unvented.

Thanks Rick. That particular OR has been a kind of go to when I wear the green Filson coat. But I finally got out on my bike this afternoon, after a long hiatus, so I switched to my other go to with the Filson. Swedish made fur cap

Great looking OR. It looks to be about the same age as mine. I really like the felt on my Royal too. It might be my favorite of all of them that I have. But then I only have 3X and Royal Deluxe to compare to. Yours looks like a great color too.
