According to the sales receipt that came with it, this Resistol was first sold Dec. 14, 1959. I think I’ll have some cake today.

Last night, out for a walk to a local establishment, and again this morning in the Fed III.

I hope you took your 'robber' mask off when you arrived. That gorgeous Fed III was scary enough to the local populace!

WOW

WOW

WOW.

Killer pick-ups, Mike.
Thanks Matt. The Angora is going to be a showpiece of my collection. It is my "I wanna be like @moontheloon hat".

That is a showy Homburg Matt. The Resistol liner is great, hat folks recognize it rarity. The general public... how great you look in it.

Beautiful Stratoliner sir! High on my covet list.

A brisk 11 degrees out there this morning. Called for the Knox long hair

Have a great Thursday,

Fuzzy goodness Michael. It goes well with the overall look of keeping warm today. Impressive.

Fantastic Mackinaw and great hat Harv. Isn't winter grand!

Thanks everybody for recent likes and comments on my hats. Just trying to keep up with the excellent lids posted here daily.

Oh, and @mmbarnes, "Nice beaver, Matt!"

Betcha never thought a guy would say that to you.
Sent directly from my mind to yours.

I'm possessed by that Demon Jim. Nice to see it again, it is a really special hat. And yes, Matt has a nice beaver.

All three very nice Mike but the Angora is really sharp. A bit of a long hair?

The heather finish on this hat has to be fondled to be appreciated fully. Wow, does it wear well. Stefan says it is a "Borsalino Angora Gorascu in the colour Misto Grigio" .

I really like your jacket Harv. Bold and classic. Works well with your chosen hat.
I am back inside from a dog walk and normal yard chores. Wool and and a VS (sage felt) are comfy for this Minnesota winter morning.
Best, Eric -
Boy oh boy Eric, that color is absolutely beautiful. Nice looking coat too.

Cake is good, and a great anniversary/birthday to celebrate. Having a receipt with a hat is really special. Looks good as the day it was sold Jay.

Another grey day in Verona. Misty hills and very low clouds with humidity

Panizza Super NOS from Meran

Made in the historical factory of Ghiffa, where now there is the "Museo del cappello", visited in March with Steve

The felt, with no name color, is fantastic as the matching with the ribbon color

Usually the names of the plants growing on Lake Maggiore were used to determine the name of the color of the felts

Panizza made marvellous hats, no so elegant like Borsalino, not so bold as Barbizio, but very, very fine in a classic Italian tradition
I take off my hat to greet you and thank you for your appreciation

From Stefan: A Borsalino "Angora" c.1955
Mike the "Angora" Borsalino that you received from Stefan is the slightly softer brother of the brown Borsalino I wore yesterday.
The felt finish, short-haired, is the same. Your color has a more varied color in its texture and probably has a slightly less shiny.
"Un signor cappello" that I would have held in Verona with great pleasure, shame about the tiny size :(

That's a beauty Rock.

And the still life shots are really, really cool. Is that amethyst?
Haha, more along the unfashion line I think.

That is one fine looking Homburg.

Great looking Stratoliner.. I need me one of those.

Michael
Well... if "unfashion" is what you call it, I'd like to be able to unfashion, too.

Thanks for the good word on the homburg.
Thanks Bob.

Man... That Demon is devilishly delightful.

As for your comment about my nice beaver... actually, if I had a nickel for every time some guy has said that to me, if have 5 cents.

It is really, really soft felt. It wants a tight pinch in the front and a very "organic" crown. It has fallen into a teardrop shape with my fondling.
