Today is another ancient French hat on stroll to my office

It is a JB made of wool, or mixed felt, before World War II

It comes from that landmark located in Strasbourg and precisely in the Chapellerie Meer

I have a particular preference for this hat even if some signs of the time are on it

Borsalino Qualità Suprema. I have/had some other. One travelled to Oregon some months ago

"Bismuto" is the color and it was made in 1977. Felt is a medium stiff for the Borsalino standard.

Size is 6 1/2 French or 7 1/2 US, perfect for my head

Contrasting ribbon, not so easy to find in Borsalino here in Europe

I had some doubts to have it, but now I'm very happy of the choice

The rich gray of that FedIV is inspiring Scotty, I'm wavering between this color and moonstone for my first Akubra.

I went back and forth between those two colors, myself, for a while before settling on the carbon. Yes, it is richer, and I prefer darker colored hats, anyway.
