Today I passed a young man on the street who said in a British accent, "That's a lovely fedora, sir." Wearing one of my NW Hats

40s era Stratoliner on this eve of giving thanks ... running around like a madman running errands.

... my old man always called tonight and New Years Eve “amateur night” ;)

I love that Strat and it makes me like this old Bushman that just arrived today even more. Are you really a 59 or do hats that old typically shrink a size?

I’m 7 1/4 in a perfect world ... but some 1/8 fit especially LO ... and some 3/8 fit as well.

This one has the slightest shim... 2 pieces of foam reduction rape about 2 inches long at 11 o’clock and 1 o’clock

That hat is just perfect with that coat! You guys really know how to slide into full boat winter. It is unseasonably warm (still rainy) here in Oregon, it is 58 degrees outside! We still have not had a hard killing frost, I still have snap dragons holding on and blooming. You look well equipped for the arctic.

Wishing all of my Lounge family a wonderful Thanksgiving (for those who celebrate) and a bountiful feast tomorrow for everyone.
Thanks Red. I thought the Marathon went pretty well with that coat too. I got one nice outfit comment from a young fellow and two very favorable comments on the bibs from a couple of ladies. I think we were a good 10 degrees colder than the forecast said we would be. But yes, not much of a fall this year. Hope your weather holds. And have a great Thanksgiving.

I do like the look of a Fed IV. It deserves a jaunty feather. Turkey is appropriate, strike fear into their hearts about tomorrow.

Wearing a beautiful Portis today I was lucky enough to get from Anthony. My first thin ribbon; my first Portis, and it's pristine.

Pristine indeed Doug! Love that color, I need more gray hats...
Hey all!
When Mother Nature gives you straw weather on the day before Thanksgiving, you graciously thank her by wearing straw.
Supernatural. A little pork before a mountain of turkey.

Have a great day!

Since I don't care much for turkey, pork (ham) is my favorite tomorrow. Love to see a straw on Thanksgiving Eve Moe.

Boy Jay, you are on a roll. Everyone thinks you are dapper, just like us. Yay, NW Hats! Great color.

One great Mallory Greg. How is the liner? Special logo or the for "Youthful Smartness" That slogan really fits this hat!

Fantastic brim on that Aussie Boze!

When this hat was new, Metro North had bar cars. Just sayin'.

60s Cavanagh in brown and Engineered Garments Bedford in gray wool.

Great place to wear a Cavanagh hat. Just think of all the gents having a scotch on their way home from the office in 1961!

We have a couple more warmer days coming, maybe good for a lightweight felt tomorrow. You have a super turkey day yourself my friend.
