Winter has struck. Mix of rain and snow this morning with winds gusting to 40 mph. Dang. Dobbs Hanover Square stays on my head in the yard. Not so sure it will be the proper choice when I get out to brave the wind in the open

Could be a good day to veg with some dvds, but for now I'm braving the elements in this early 1950s overcoat. I guess I do have an errand to run before vegging can set in.

Have a great day,

Love the Dobbs, thinking of bidding on @Miamibruno 's auction running currently. That overcoat is superb. We don't seem to have that many heavy coats showing up in thrift stores around here. We are more wet than snowy.

I had an older gentleman with a thick accent come up to me on the train platform and tell me I looked like I stepped right out of the '50s.
That was perceptive. I'm wearing a '59 Resistol.

I was playing guitar on the porch shading the low sun with my Boss Of The Gym and a neighbor walking by said "you got your Depeche Mode look going on". So we got the eighties covered today as well.

Hey folks!
This Keith Bros. "The Tiger Special" is my oldest hat. A Goodwill find. I suspect it was made in the mid to late teens. The unreeded sweat had fallen out, I had to just stitch it back in the best I could. The original wide ribbon, with a big, unruly almost-but-not-quite back bow was disinegrating when I got it so I did my best to replicate it's loose, sloppy grandeur.
