Thanks Fruno! I am glad to be back. Chatting with you fellows and looking at fantastic hats is always a great stress reliever for me. @Bob Roberts keeps telling me the same thing that I need to buy one if I see it. I thought Delmonico had one a few months ago but sadly when I called they said the website was incorrect and it was no longer in inventory. I almost bought one on ebay that would have been way too big at 7 3/4 and shimmed it but decided against it.

Keep an eye on the bay. New ones have been popping up occasionally at discounted prices. But it's sporadic. What size are you?

I am in between a 7 1/2 and a 7 5/8. I can usually make either size work in a modern Stetson dress hat.

The coat is an old offering from Lands' End. I've read that it was made by Salko of Austria and it is a lightweight 80/20 wool/alpaca loden cloth. It's about 5" longer than Salko's current offering, but is otherwise identical.
