The moth eaten flea bag of a Brent OR Clone has been refurbished into a wearable everyday fedora by Mike Miller of NW Hats. And...wait for it Bob...whipstitch! More on the other usual thread locations.

I got a Derby that dare not speak it's name a while back. It is early, the only markings found were from a clothing store on Long Island NY called Dunstatter's. The sweat stitching had rotted and was not worth saving, so I had Mike reshape and put in a modern sweat with a liner. It is going to be a daily driver Derby to go with my Christy's Bowler.

Today is dedicated to one of the oldest (maybe late forties) Borsalino I have in my collection

It was a fantastic find some months ago in Bologna

Qualità Extra Superiore Petronius "Lavorazione speciale"

Felt is medium stiff with a very peachy finish

Sweatband is not at its best, the felt is pristine despite the years

This old needs an appropriate presentation

Magnificent borsalino, compliments! I have several old Borsalino's from the finst mens store in Boston..from the 40's through the 60's. I'd love to acquire more of them if anyone can help with a source. The store name was Scott & Co., Ltd. 340 Washington St. in Boston. I tried to attach a photo but this page is very confusing, my photo won't attaxch...it says something about not the correct pixels or something.

Great refurbs Red. You should get a lot of wear out of these.

That is a gem Daniele. Both the felt and the ribbon have such beautiful tone to them.
