I wore the wunderbar Portis tissue-lite thin ribbon Mr. Moon sent me awhile back. Man, this thing is sweet. Thanks again, Anthony!

Good to see you Doug. How are things going? That Portis is da bomb.

I'll jump on this mornings band wagon...fantastic look! Wearing a proper, wide brimmed fedora is a statement! Never be intimidated by your hat. People may not say anything, but they will notice you and think about wanting one like it for the rest of the day.

Bowler day again with the vintage Stetson

Love the Stetson. That suit is quite striking, is it vintage? The lapels are quite nice.

Good to know on the sizing as I am like a 56.6 cm. My FedIV is a 57 but fits well but I think that they checked measurements before they sent.

As to brim width, everyone in Europe seems to have either stingy <1.75 " brims, leather cowboyesque or all manner of straws. I have seen only 6 people in the last 9 months in London wearing >2.25" felt brims and none of the standard I see in the Lounge (apart from the Bridport hat festival the other week) in London. Makes you understand why I am intimidated/in awe of the 2-7/8" brim on the Mode Edge I have...!

Either way, that CD looks cool on you.
Never be intimidated, hold your head high and peer at everybody from under a snapped wide brim!

Classy Monte Bob. I really like the ribbon treatment on this one.

You are going to be looking sharp all day. What are you wearing with your PJs tonight?

One of my Northwest Hats creations today.

Even though it is going to be cool for the next few days, with rain on the way, I might have some boater days in the next few weeks. A little late in the straw season, but couldn't turn down a 7 1/4 LO boater. This Pedigree Hats straw was made for a small chain of clothing stores in Olympia Washington. Hard to date this one, but the patina is nice. The Wilmot's stores didn't make it through the 1960s as near as I can research, so I'm thinking older.

Great looking boater Red. Around here people love to see a boater out and about. Probably the most reliably and favorably commented on hat I wear.

Lot of great looking lids on display! Glad to see some of these fine felts coming out. It was chilly enough here in the central part of Buckeye country to throw on my only custom hat and a leather jacket. My custom Beaver felt in Pecan by Mike Miller of the Northwest Hat Co.

Not a fan of the movie, 'Dirty Dancing" , but really liked the sound track...

"Cry To Me", Solomon Burke

"Do You Love Me", The Contours
