Another bout with the brim of this beautifully bashable brown Borden birthday 'burg. I think it looks a bit better, but that could just be 'cause I've been messing with it and looking at it too much...

Yes Sir, I believe you're correct about it looking better. If it were mine I'd leave it like it is now; the slight asymmetry of the brim gives it character, and just plain looks good.

Cleaned up that dirty old Akubra that my wife got at a garage sale for $1.00.

This ribbon was under the braided band.

Although I might borrow my wife's beaded band on occasion.

Yesterday's storms knocked out our power. It is expected to be restored by late this afternoon. I was fortunate that I had minimal hail or wind damage. This morning I was up and out cleaning up beach, dock, boathouse and yard. I started in a vtg. Stetson Playboy (silver belly) and switched to a Dobbs Cross Country (gray) when I came in for another cup of coffee.

Well, sorry to hear that, happy to hear damage was minimal and you are ok ! Take care, might think about wearing a helmet for hail cover.

I might consider buying a boater and a small boat during the rain season as well !!

Ok. Another successful treasure has been acquired. Another Champ! As was the last Champ no date on this one. This is a Taupe with Chocolate Ribbon. I have also added pictures of my son's newly acquired vintage sage colored Marathon made for J.C. Penny felt I picked up. And last but not least is a vintage Dobbs Fifth Avenue hat box I scored for a few bucks. This really was a successful day.
