Ok. Another successful treasure has been acquired. Another Champ! As was the last Champ no date on this one. This is a Taupe with Chocolate Ribbon. I have also added pictures of my son's newly acquired vintage sage colored Marathon made for J.C. Penny felt I picked up. And last but not least is a vintage Dobbs Fifth Avenue hat box I scored for a few bucks. This really was a successful day.

Dang! I wish our local antique malls carried this type of merch. I have yet to cross a good hat at our bazaars, let alone one in my size.

Fantastic Champ, it looks NOS! That tag with the Champ Name and size is worth the price of admission!

I think the cap looks good on you. Maybe you need one of these to go with it?

Or maybe one of these, instead of the cap?
The last time I wore a tie was July 2011, so I'm afraid those would be wasted on me. But that bandana/do-rag might do the trick. ;)

My sincere thanks to all for the comments and likes. While most forums of this kind are at best a rendezvous of strangers, every day the members here on The Lounge are inspirational, aspirational, and simply wonderful.

Taking my new (old) Habig homburg out for a bike ride today. I have decided homburgs are my favourite cycling hats on windy days. More pictures of the hat in the German & Austrian Hutmacher's thread here. Glad to see all of you still looking stylish as ever, and some new faces too!

Stetson Bantam

Nice, Harv!

Tonight I will celebrate 25 years as a member of the Engineers Club of Dayton. Founded in 1914 by Charles Kettering and Col. Edward Deeds. I am privileged to have been on the member rolls that have held Orville Wright, Arthur Morgan, and Hans Von Ohain (and Edward Murphy who gave us Murphy's law). I was sponsored originally by Wilson Charbonneau, a grandnephew of Toussaint Charbonneau, who married Sacajawea. It's a big night for me, personally.

So naturally, I'm wearing my Stetson 25.
