Because I didn't know it was stray hat day and the fact that I don't own a straw hat (yet), I went with this Stetson XXXXX because the ribbon matches my slacks flawlessly. Hahahahaha.

... oh, I forgot. The lovely scarf is a Italian silk blend. A 2 year old Christmas gift from a very good friend of mine.

But your skivvies, Bobby... Hanes (pronounced, "hein'-ous") briefs is a surprise. Would have thought a man like you would be a boxer guy, AKA "Waldorf" underwear. Like the Waldorf Astoria in NYC, with its legendary ballroom.

Straining, strongly struggling straight for a stream of Straw, but not to be on this really rainy & raw STRAW HAT DAY. So here, for the premier (of the season) I'm stuck in a Knox Premier.

Thanks Mike. The tie is a special endangered species done by Katie Cundiff (http://dobsonart.com/works). The hat says Rene Menard Chapelleri Beaver Blend. I suspect it may be French Canadian. The original Rene Menard was a Jesuit French explorer who explored Canada in the 17th century.

That is really cool! I'll take a look at Katie's website, gotta have one of them ties!

I didn't see any on her website, I got mine about 10 years ago at a Dept Store (Macy's???). You might be able to find them on Ebay or Amazon.

Happy Straw Day to all, whether you can wear them or not today! First half of the day here will be cool and clear, so one of my favorite straws will see the sunshine. This Dobbs Milan is early 60s, fits like a custom and is super soft. It is the brown version of the golf hat of James Bond in Goldfinger, or at least I tell myself that...
