It's a mournful and introspective day, today. Last Tuesday, the wife of our church's director of religious education was shot and killed while driving home from our Lenten confession service. Apparently, one gangster caught a rival gangster tagging his apartment complex. He opened fire on the tagger and a stray bullet hit our DRE's wife in the head. Her funeral is today (I'm about to leave the office to attend the service), so please keep her husband and daughter in your thoughts and prayers.

The takeaway -- life is precious but fragile. Appreciate every minute and every person.

Rodolfo, it definitely sucks to get old(er), I don't have big eyesight problems but enough to annoy me when I'm driving or walking on the street... I hope I will get used to wearing them!
