Same as yesterday with some changes. Deeper center dent. More rake. Tighter pinches brought forward. STETSON DEXTER. Imperial Quality.

Maybe we need to have a naming contest. This is one great looking hat! I vote for "George".

G. A. Dunn & Co. "Austrian" Velour made by TONAK probably late 1940s early 1950s and a gift from Daniele. Really fantastic light weight Velour in a brilliant light absorbing brown.

G. A. Dunn & Co. partnership went back to at least the 1930s when Tonak was J. Hückel´s Söhne (JHS). Here is Tonak or JHS Dunn & Co. liner dye I found back in the Summer of 2015.

Here is a fantastic G. A. Dunn & Co. "Austrian" Zephyr Seal Velour made by TONAK that Josh found a while ago.

Here is a 1930s G. A. Dunn & Co. Austrian Velour made by J. Hückel´s Söhne (was nationalized as Tonak after WWII) that Justin found a while ago.

What a stunner! This is a wonderful design, did you come up with this or is it a vintage example?

Glad you like it! It's made from new blocks I bought in the late 90's., not my own design. The crown block has two string grooves allowing it to be blocked with a deeper or shallower crown. This is the shallower version.

Had to wait til the end of the day to post this, busy day. In solidarity with the stellar Derby sported by Matt this morning, I switched to my 1930s Stetson Derby. I have named it the "Kerr Derby" after William Jasper Kerr, President of Oregon State in the early 20th century. We have some great images of derby wearing OAC Faculty. Topcoat is from the wife this Christmas, just in time for 20 degrees for the next few days.

Ahhh Friday... welcome, you glorious day of days...

The meteorologicalistic prognosticatorists are predicting up to 12 inches of snow with the precipitation starting late tonight.

Folks are getting bat-guano crazy (but not me, I arrived at that station years ago). We only get snow like that once a decade or so. I'm excited... snow means doing LOTS of donuts in parking lots (with the top down, of course)!!! Yippee!

I'm going with the trusty old '40s Stetson Vita-Felt Premier homburg. I noticed this morning that all of my use of this one has led to some degradation to the brim binding [emoji20]. I foresee a road trip to Bob at Black Sheep for this one.
