Back in the olden days, even teens could have a hot toddy for a cold. Heck, we rubbed bourbon on our kids' gums when they were teething, then drank the rest. :)

They heal quickly at that age. Sorry for him it hit on a weekend.
It used to be the same around here, before the need to be politically correct...

Thanks for your kind words Don !!

Happy Saturday to all.

After some lengthy, patient and bizarre exercises involving a hat stretcher, containers of water, towels, boxes and a heating pad I think that the 1940s teal Dobbs Game Bird may finally be coming to terms that with all of its original parts it WILL be a 7 1/4 and not a 7.

This one is the brother of the green Dobbs I wore a couple of days ago. I sent some pics of that one in action to the gentleman who sold them to me from his father's estate. It was touching to read how happy he was that the hat his father treasured lives on as a small part of his legacy.

I apologize in advance for the number of shots (probably more suited for the Dobbs thread), but as I often do, I love the way the different light plays on the hat.

I hope that each of you has a great day.

Be well... Be kind... Have fun!

Real pretty hat MM!

We got out for some lunch and a movie today while the sun was still shining. I wore the new-to-me dark navy Disney with a button down shirt and a navy cashmere jacket. MrsFed donned her blue/grey Cavanagh that I covet every day. If one pops up in 7-3/8 or 7-1/2 I'll be all over it.

Dimensional brims, eh? Thanks for the lesson.

Why choose one over the other? Should an XLO lean to one over the other, and a regular oval the other way?

I don't know the reasons for the difference, Don, and so I'm guessing it's just a style touch. Your suggestion about the XLO factor may be right, but only for those of us with that curse?
Now we have something else to obsess and wonder about, though, and that's good. Thanks!
