The sweatband on my 40's Dobbs Game Bird went Crispy Duck on me, and became pretty clear Saturday night that there was no saving it. So, last night, I plucked and gutted it, stuffed it with a new sweatband from Bond, and now have mounted it on a suitable platform.

And since Fruno insists I show my work :

This is from our trip to Lake Oswego on Saturday. I was wearing my Ebay Stefeno that was described as beaver fur felt. Not much info on this one but the felt seems nice. Mrs. Fed left her hat in the car, an inexpensive straw hat she found at Goodwill.
