Nice Strat Mike ! I can tell you about the Hairy Cow Hat Band on the Akubra Sombrero , Yep , they come with one (some differences , color , hair length , etc.) , but you can change it . Akubra makes some Beautiful Hat Bands , or you can use another . Watch "Bush Tucker Man" on youtube , he wears a Sombrero by Akubra (well worn) . They're Cool Hats though .

Finally got home and enjoying a quiet"er" moment. I opened a bottle of Italian Lambrusco. Not all sparking Lambrusco's have to be very sweet. ( http://www.casalivini.it/en/shop/lambruschi-en/il-lambruscone-emilia-igp-lambrusco/). For todays 90+'F and high humidity it is a perfect luxury beverage. Supernatural Ecuadorian Milan on my head and a glass of Italian Lambrusco, 8 ice cubes, all is right with the world. I do not have the correct glass and have broken tradition by using ice - no worries at my house today.

Eric, you aware to made a huge mistake, ices in the wine is strictly forbidden, but you are informed to break the rules so you are fully forgiven
I belong to one of the most famous wine Italian districts, but I like the Lambrusco eabove all in winter time when it goes with the "fat" dishes of these provinces where it is produced. Me too, I prefer the dry one.....

This morning Simone picked up two new hats from Esther.

A beautiful Panama

And an equally great hat in Sisal

But that's not where it all started! It started here at the De Koninck brewery for a meet and great with Esther and a tour of the brewery

During the tour we came across some tips on how to combine beer and cheese

After the tour you get a little 'degustation' of three beers

Esther and Simone enjoyed them (so did I)

After the beer tasting we went to 'de Pelgrim' next door for an aperitive and dinner. Great weather so we could dine on the patio

After diner we walked to the city center, to a very busy, very small street with several nice bar. As you can see more beer was involved

Esther is a wonderful and charming host and she knows Antwerp and all it's great places like the back of her hand. Thanks for having us Esther, we had a great time!

Great to see your photos. My sister used to love in Ostend and we got to spend a lot of time in Holland and Belgium.

Sounds like a very fun outing Serge, Simone and Esther. Nothing like a good walking tour of a beautiful town.

It's supposed to be about 10 degrees cooler here, so back into the realm of the survivable at least. It's the palm straw planter's hat for me today.
