Finally got home and enjoying a quiet"er" moment. I opened a bottle of Italian Lambrusco. Not all sparking Lambrusco's have to be very sweet. ( http://www.casalivini.it/en/shop/lambruschi-en/il-lambruscone-emilia-igp-lambrusco/). For todays 90+'F and high humidity it is a perfect luxury beverage. Supernatural Ecuadorian Milan on my head and a glass of Italian Lambrusco, 8 ice cubes, all is right with the world. I do not have the correct glass and have broken tradition by using ice - no worries at my house today.

Today, my new to me 30's-40's I believe Adam Royal Quality Panama that showed up yesterday. How nice of it to arrive the day before my birthday! Yes, that was a shameless attempt to fish for birthday well- wishes.
Regardless of my insecurities on the anniversaty of my arrival into this harsh cruel world, here's the hat.

Finishing up a painting I've been working on wearing the Dobbs florentine (synthetic) milan. I'll admit that I was a little skeptical of this one when I first got it, but I'm impressed with its resiliency. It's been soaked more than a few times and still looks like it just came out of the box.

Within the past hour it reached the low 90's F with high humidity. Rain storms passed thru shortly ago. The air is really thick. Wearing a linen cap that really breaths is my choice. Cordova Cap in lightweight linen.

Hey everyone!
Lots of sharp looking folks on today, as usual!
Spent the day in this one, a decently tight woven Panama body I found at a thrift store Monday. I blocked it yesterday morning, put in a sweat last night and found a pug in an odds and ends drawer. A new life for an old castoff lid!

Pardon the facial expression. I was looking into a bright glare, not having a gas attack.

Wish I could find a better hat model but here I am with my first 2nd hand Borsalino. Its an Alessandria that I found on eBay. Had to stretch it a bit to fit. But now its really comfortable and I like it. BTW that is part of the Portland Rose Festival Parade in the background.
