Thanks for the thumbs-up folks and thanks for the call out Perry and Harv.

Harv, we both know that not all silver belly is created equal. I am not knoweldgable enough to know if the early Mallory silver belly felt was the from the same source as Stetsons. This hat is different colored from Stetson silver belly I have of a similar age. Perhaps aging plays a greater part than the felt processing. In any case thanks. I am really enjoying this hat and beginning to worry about loving' it to an early death. Perhaps a modern bespoke inspired by this hat is in order. This morning I was thinking of how "simple" the style is and how that feature draws my attention. Perhaps my growing up enjoying Danish modern furniture and the like has a stronger influence than I believed. Ah... to much philosophizing I am in desperate need of coffee.

The Mallory Ten is terrific. I hope that with good fortune and perseverance I may wear a Mallory Fifteen or even Twenty. I can only imagine.

Quite possible. Danish modern is spare and sleek, if done right. It's all about great style, isn't it? You have excellent taste—however you developed it. I always admire your choice of hats.

Moe, I don't think enough was said about this hat and especially the color here. Just fantastic. It's some un-definable shade of grey that is just sublime. The stuff dreams are made of.

It's hard, impossible, in fact, to pick a favorite hat in my collection. Maybe a Top Five? I dunno. Everybody knows I love my Daltons, and today's choice is no exception. It would likely be a Top Five, mainly because of the way it looks. I think of the older photos we see of working men wearing hats. Guys on oil rigs or next to machinery with a wrench in their hand. A pair of Dickey's and a collared work shirt - you know, the kind with those epaulet thingees on the shoulders. That's what I associate with this hat - it's my "Workin' Man's hat." It just has that everyday look to it.

I love this hat.
