My mother's last name is linked to the old Norse name Hjálmarr.
So who knows ?
I'd like to think there is some ancestry there but I'm more convinced that both sides are German and Austrian.

Winchester wabbit in Granite grey, gunmetal grey ribbon, smoke grey binding. Brim 2 1/2", crown 5 1/4". Sweatband is a good one, made by Lounger Bond. Never buying another one of the cheapies again.

J.Hückel´s Söhne "Durit" probably 1930s. This hat had heavy use and was missing the ribbon/bow (replaced by Optimo). The felt is a very light green with color coordinating sweatband and liner. It was made special for Martin Brömme - Der Hutmacher am Turm (Nürnberg) who are still in business today (now Hut Brömme - Der Hutmacher am Turm). It has a Forster look to it. I really enjoy wearing this hat.
