J.Hückel´s Söhne "Durit" probably 1930s. This hat had heavy use and was missing the ribbon/bow (replaced by Optimo). The felt is a very light green with color coordinating sweatband and liner. It was made special for Martin Brömme - Der Hutmacher am Turm (Nürnberg) who are still in business today (now Hut Brömme - Der Hutmacher am Turm). It has a Forster look to it. I really enjoy wearing this hat.

My friends keep asking me when will I trim my hair and beard.
No, don't you dare, your resemblance of William Cody is brilliant. I wore a beard from my early twenties to my mid-fifties, not as magnificent as your's though. I grew it for vanity purposes, it covered a large mole on the right of my chin. Come my mid fifties, the whiskers were looking more like Santa, so for vanity's sake again, I preferred the mole and shaved the beard off.

As will your hubby, I'm sure! Sophia Loren always attributed her beauty to pasta. Perhaps your secret elixir is chocolate?

BTW, who is that in the cover shoot?

Edit: Oh, I see it's Kim Basinger. Never mind!

Yeah, Kim Basinger.
Well, I hope Sophia is right. Pasta is pretty much what I eat most of the time :)

And yeah, Belgian chocolate is good for the soul as they say...

A very merry Saturday.

Headed out under the hat that I think that I might like to be holding if I am ever laid out for a viewing after I kick the bucket. I don't know what it is, but I just love everything about this Crofut & Knapp homburg sold through the Finchley Establishment in the fifties. Just everything... Some hats are just like that, I guess.

Stetson Fifteen 3X today
6 inch crown , 3 inch brim. What more could I ask for from a hat?

68 Chevy C20 in the background. My father-in-law's. Still needs some electrical work and I'd love to do a disc break conversion on it but a pretty sweet truck
