Thanks for the likes and kind words. Always appreciated.
Finally got around to converting this old no-name retailer branded Western that I picked up at a thrift store last October.

Loved the color, so I tried to mix a dye for the ribbon to match the felt. I think I got close. First pics show the shape of the hat better, but the last shows the actual color better.

I'm calling this one "The Mahoney Coney".
Crown 5 1/2" open, brim 2 3/8". Pounced off quite a bit of weight, but it's still a fairly thick felt.
The day is starting to warm up. May be another two-hatter!

No, not me! I'd like to think I have more sense than that. But, in the moment, when a real major league baseball is heading your way it may be easier than I think to forget to watch the ump to see if it was indeed foul. Crazy how excitable a scrap of leather and red laces can make people!
