Thanks for the kindness yesterday everyone. Yes, the whippet-like brown lid is another VS (whiskey).
Now, it's finally FAWCETT Friday, friends! The cooler morning fresh air allowed for felt for a while. From the vintage felt find of about a year ago, a MAHOOT hat. Toughest of all felt (so far) to capture the color, but a new Sony RX100 camera seems to work better than anything I tried before, although I've not tried film...


Then after I uploaded, this "still life" color comparison looked like an effective way to show some of the color variations from this felt. Sometimes it looks brown-ish.

Wearing an old leather Bailey U-Rollit today with an add-on snakeskin hat band from TopHatters. I thought it was too much at first, but it's become one of my favorite westerns.

I think this is only the second time you've been forced to see my ugly mug.

Thanks Moon, Roger and Richard! Your honest and sincere comments means a lot to me, specially coming from you guys. I do agree I like the look a lot, and the quality of this hat is excellent. I have an other hat on the way , a Vintage Stetson in silverbelly of the same proportions. I will post pictures as soon as I get it. Thanks again.
