Charlie, I'm a retired commecial photographer.
There are about ten years, each semester, I teach courses in photography in high school of my town.

As a photography fanatic, I'm wondering if we should start a thread whereby all the photographers share their craft (i.e. lens selection, lighting choices, etc.), but with one rule. Every photograph requires a hat! I'm ready to combine loves.

Javadave, I'm ready to start  with patience and dullness.
I have to write everything in good English and sometimes it is an effort.
Let me have some time to chose my hat as blazon!

Believe me, your English is better than my Italian. I spent 10 minutes getting google to translate your signature. :wof:

Welcome to the Lounge, Javadave61! EVERY thread in the Hats category is an opportunity to showcase your work. Whatever your preferred medium, there's a thread for that!

Moreover, if you've noticed already, we have some amazing talent, well experienced photographers around with a wealth of information, who love to share their knowledge, as well as learn NEW stuff. Bring it on, sir!

For guy who says he can't post pictures, you look pretty amazing, TommyK! That hat is one of my Lounge favs right there, sir!

Thanks Hatophile and hatsRme. As with most of my computer problems (posting pics) I couldn't actually fix the problem but found a work-around. Which means an extra step for every pic I want to post. Someday I'll get the hang of things and really figure it out!

Good afternoon hatted/capped folks. Excellent contributions so far today!

A cloudy 45'F day finds me capped and hatted. A Pendleton Board Shirt with Cordova cap and VS Wanderer (dove gray felt) were my choices of the day.

Joao,

I love your definition of stingy.

;)

3" is stingy.

Joao, I like the stingy on you.
I do avoid wearing them.

Lol, Miami, I was gonna say the same thing about Joao's "stingy"!
You know me... anything below that is a fez.

Stingy is in the eye of the beholder! Or something like that...
lol

Not a cloud in the sky today, bright, sunny, beautiful!
Same here but no snow.

It's not italian, it's Latin!

G.Durand, Super duo!

G.Durrand; +1. The felt on the VS and the classic style of the Playboy are show stoppers.

Steve; Thanks. Your Mayser fedora of today and the ones of the past week are grand! Your pics do an excellent job portraying that they have some grand felt. The fedora style (of today) looks good on you. I love seeing your exquisite collection.

Greg; Akubra fedora weather has you well hatted.

Phil; Well done sir.

Bruno; Love the Penny's Marathon. They are under-appreciated vtg fedora.

Sam; Your attire and hat combo is grand.

Charlie; Great to see your hat and dog enjoying the approaching spring.

S4C; Got to say that your tie selection each day is something I am getting used to looking for. A day without your tie and hat would be strange - thanks for sharing.

Daniele; Bueno sir. Best wishes at your teaching gig.

Tommy; In the pics you share you look relaxed in your "lids "and clothes. I really enjoy the unique colors of todays fedora.

I am sure I missed others-apologies in advance. The contributions to the thread are enjoyable to tune into each day.

Best wishes, Eric -
