Ink blue Dobbs homburg yesterday with a gorgeous plum ribbon. Went for drinks with a client last night and some girl asked me if I was Amish. :) She also asked, "What's up with the hat? Do you like it?" She had too much to drink and her perfume was terrible. I told her, "Of course I like it. Why else would I be wearing it?" in a very kind way.

Maybe I should have told her that the guys on The Fedora Lounge forced me to wear it. [huh]

Dang! That's a sweet lid. LOVE the plum ribbon!

You're giving me a flashback to my yoot, B.J. I had both of those exact encyclopedia sets at home... The Book of Knowledge, and the Encyclopedia Americana. Congrats on KEEPING them. Terrific Tummy, too!

Alan, I missed your Stetsonburger. Magnificent hat! You are a heavy hitter, to be sure.
Bowlerman thats a nice curl to the brim. The shape reminds me of a Gun Club I had back 30 or so years ago.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on the blue Dobbs, neglected to mention that it's a Dobbs Twenty. I actually just dropped it off at Paul's Hat Works for a reflange, the brim doesn't snap down easily. Other than that, the hat looks very new. More pictures forthcoming in the Dobbs diner.

David - you do start the day early. Borsalino has no alliteration with - nor does it rhyme with - Thursday. An aberration. But a fine fedora.

I thought I'd get away with it today, Andy :) Love the Anasazi!

Beautiful hat this morning DJH

Thanks, DH - I always enjoy wearing this one. Super comfortable to wear.

Man look at that Borso! Mine is in the mail on the way. Hopefully it can be cleaned and look even close to that good!

Thanks, Matt. Looking forward to seeing your Borso

Charlie - super cool VS. I bought my wife and daughter Canon S95's a while ago - while I'm a Nikon guy for SLR cameras, those Canon compacts are great.

AnA - Love how you can pull of the Homburg look.

JHE - nice cap.

David, This is a great Borsalino!

Thanks Jeff - nice Buckaroo

David that Borso shares some color chops with your early lightweight Stratoliner, no? Very nice!

Cheers, Alan. Yes, the hats are somewhat similar - I took a snapshot of them together; maybe the result will be a StratoLino? As you can see, the Stratoliner is a little darker felt and has more contrast beween the felt and ribbon colours. Love your Stetson today!

Okay, I thought it was this one, that looks like the brother of one of David's :)

Yeah, I saw that one on eBay - just like the one I bought from our mate Rabit a while ago.

Sam - great looking CRM

BJ - always nice to see a Tummy

Empire State, and it's cool enough this morning for the leather jacket, T.Jones and company!

The Empire State strikes back! With a jacket, yet today, DH! Excellent hat!!

TomB you'll go far in the hitchhiker... Super look today, sir!

DJH I think you are right about the Nikons. I've owned them in the past, but now crave to try the D800, arguably rated with the best image quality of 'em all! But there's nothing like the ability to POP those little (high caliber) cameras in and out of a pocket at any time. As I did with my old Leica rangefinder, I NEVER leave home without that s95.

For Fawcett Friday my VS Blue Smoke. And that color name also describes how I convinced Mrs. Hats I needed this hat; blew smoke...

Tom - very nice VS. It's a model I haven't seen before.

DH66 - nice leather. Nice lid too.

Charlie - I didn't get the memo in time that it's Fawcett Friday. Had I known, I would have worn my black cherry. I haven't seen a blue smoke yet - and I like it. An uncommon color - and quite versatile too. Very good color.

David - now that's a brim. Very impressive. I was bidding on one a week or so ago and didn't win. I'll have to keep trying.

Wearing my Royal Deluxe midnight blue Stetson.

With vintage bow tie and pocket scarf. Looks black in this photo (I faded the color).

"Dames!" Seriously though, that's funny. A little boy at my son's school asked yesterday if I was a detective when I dropped him off wearing a suit, tie & Vagabond King.
