Nice cap (and Shurons) jhe888
Sweet Dobbs homburg, A'n'A. It's been my experience that hats can draw out awkward behavior from drunk chicks.
I'm wearing my Buckaroo Hatters bunny fur Sahara today.
"No, I hate it! Wearing it on my head is the only way to keep the darn thing out of sight." lol
It's a true beauty, AnA!
A few days ago I would have called this a homburg, but today... perhaps a homburgly upbrim.
An upturnedburg, perhaps? I love it, Alan. My blue Dobbs and grey Collins & Fairbanks both have shallow curls in the front, giving them a more contemporary homburg look, if there is such a thing. As you know, my first homburg was defiled when I tried to snap the brim down like a fedora. I have since learned to keep the curl, but maintain a gentle downward swoop without distorting the rest of the brim, much like the way you're wearing your brown beauty. Really nice hat!

I think she finally got the hint when I kept my answers short. It would have been one thing if she were attractive; you'd kinda have to talk to her. But she wasn't, which made it seem like she was trying that much harder. Good for her, though, for her social confidence. I hope she finds another hatted dude, while sober, that will give her the time of day.

Thank you for your comment!! Both colors are very deep. The blue felt is nearly black; one of my co-workers thought it was black while admiring it from the desk next to mine. It's one of my holy-grails.

Nice, BJ. I've been on and off, as well. My new job keeps me busy. Glad to see you around the thread. Cheers!
Thanks everyone for the compliments on the blue Dobbs, neglected to mention that it's a Dobbs Twenty. I actually just dropped it off at Paul's Hat Works for a reflange, the brim doesn't snap down easily. Other than that, the hat looks very new. More pictures forthcoming in the Dobbs diner.
A super duper hat, indeed, Jared!! :thumb: I love the pics in the 'Diner, especially stacked with your Dillinger!!
AnA - Love how you can pull of the Homburg look.
Cheers, David! I was very stand-offish from homburgs for quite a while; you couldn't have paid me to wear one. I never thought I would appreciate them like I do now. I'm going to keep my eye out for a black one with a stingy brim, like the ones Sir Anthony Eden wore.
Your Stetson Western is a real treat! It's just waiting for the Trail! :)
My VS Hitchhiker today![IMG]http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc493/tomb1013/SN852724_zps7c322bd1.jpg
For Fawcett Friday my VS Blue Smoke. And that color name also describes how I convinced Mrs. Hats I needed this hat; blew smoke...
Wearing my Royal Deluxe midnight blue Stetson.
For today: VS Max
"Dames!" Seriously though, that's funny. A little boy at my son's school asked yesterday if I was a detective when I dropped him off wearing a suit, tie & Vagabond King.
Had to run some errands today so grabbed my Simmonds wool cap.
Billy Boy Arnold - I wish you would
