Great set of OR-style hats this a.m.

case--nice one, too. It being Fawcett Friday all I can do is wait for the Whiskey creation that Art told me yeterday was on its way, since it will be my first.

djh--every time I see one of your VS hats I pull out the swatches and start dreaming.

hatsRme--very Whippet-esque I would say. Sahara looks like another color I could savor. May I drop in for dinner?

The amusing answer is YES, Michael, you could stop in for din-din because it will take just a bit longer to cook (low and ssSLOooW) than your trans-continental flight will take to get here. NOT an impatient person's game. We'd love to have you join us!

David, killer hat on Friday, super color!
David, Your VS Black Cherry is a beauty! The BC color looks fantastic!

Thanks, Manfred, Steve & g. I'd say the Black Cherry is my favorite of the Winchester felts. G, I don't need to look at the swatches these days, if I want to see what a particular felt looks like, I check out the pics Nik (Rabbit) has posted in the VS thread.

JT - I can see why you like to wear your Penman a lot.

Sam - always good to see your Carmack

J - great colour felt and ribbon, nice Borsalino

TJ - indeed, not an OR or a Strat, but a super looking hat.

Robert - that Anton Pichler is a different style for you

Charlie - I hope you enjoy the Pastrami when it is ready. The VS looks great!

Alan - nice piece of plastic you have there.

Gt, great looking Fawcett!

David, that hat is something else. Great color!

Jt, I can't blame you... that is one sweet looking lid! You wear it well!

Case, I really enjoy that Whiskey

Jbucklin, that Borsalino looks great on you!

T Jones, what ever model that hat may be, it looks like it was made for you! Great find!!

Robert, what a great looking Anton.

HatsRme, great lookin' VS!! That pastrami looks delicious!

Alan, that Plastic felt is interesting! I really like how the felt looks!

Today, I went with my newly aquired Stetson Excellent Quality 'The Avenue Gold Medal' Expo. Not sure If I like it with a front pich + brim down, or a brim up + side dents. I may just swap between the two styles!

For Che (not the best brim up shot... I had to do it pretty quickly, so the angle makes the hat look a but funky).

Lately I have been wearing a bowler almost every day. Yesterday I wore this one.

This is an old Stetson. Definitely not a hat to be invisible in. The crown is six inches high, and the brim curl is really dramatic. I don't enjoy the attention it draws -- people do double takes, their eyes widen, sometimes they grin -- but I love this hat, and wear it occasionally. Yesterday I was giving a presentation, so I was going to be a center of attention anyway.

Justin, that Stetson "The Avenue" is the sweetest thing I have seen recently. Brim up with side dents.

Aaron, that Stetson is awesome! I enjoy wearing my derbies as much as possible, but with my new haircut, my Lenox fits a tad bit big. Makes for a sad day, haha! That one looks to be in fantastic condition as well! Thank you for the compliment on the Stetson! I am going to be going more brim up, as it seems more natural to the hat itself, unless the sun is in my eyes, then brim down for sure!!

Jeff, that is one killer hat! I need to invest in a fed for harsh weather use.

Closed out the vacation with my Borso again. Took this photo on the drive back to Atlanta. It rained heavily at the beach the morning that we left, so it was good timing. The travel home was clear and cool; low 70s. Traffic was very light, and surprisingly easy as we drove through downtown to the connectors. Thanks for all the nice comments. I've been using my phone for my posts, so I haven't been able to respond to each of you. Cheers! :thumb:
